Did you know most makeup containers aren’t accepted by municipal recycling facilities? If a container, like a mascara tube, doesn’t have a number stamped on it then it’s likely it’s not accepted. We accept all beauty and makeup product empties! Save up your empties and drop them off at our Shaker Heights location.
CIGARETTE BUTTS
About 4.5 TRILLION cigarette butts are littered every year. And, did you know cigarette butts can take up to 15 years to degrade, as they contain plastic? What happens to those cigarette butts? Sadly, small animals, like birds, have been known to ingest the litter. Let's not only keep butts from being littered but we get them recycled as well! Van Aken District in Shaker Heights has several cigarette disposal bins that we collect to be saved from litter and landfill.
